NATURAL MINERAL BLUSHES
The purpose of blush is to softly define the shape of the cheekbone and give the illusion of youthful color – not to slim the face (this is what we use a subtle shader for)
POWDER
• Most common, easy to apply
MINERAL
• Sappho’s blushes easy to apply
• Non toxic, non-Paraben
• non-phthalate
• Can be used as eye shadow as well
Crème- relatively easy to apply, very natural but does not always last particularly in hot weather
Sticks- similar to cream, very natural
BLUSH DONTS
• Don’t apply color too close to the nose as it will make the nose appear larger and extenuate any redness broken capillaries in the area
• Don’t apply color too close to the eyes as it will also draw attention to any redness near the eyes and will tend to flatten the cheek rather than enhance it
• Don’t apply too close to the temples – will have a “feverish” effect to the face
• Don’t apply blush like a racing stripe down the side of the cheek, this will not make the face look thinner but rather old and hollowed
MAKE UP TIP
Do apply blush lightly and softly making sure the edges are blended well!
MAKE UP TIP
Smile and just apply a lighter pink to the apples of your cheeks to give your face fresh slightly flushed look.
