COLOR THEORY FOR APPLYING MAKE UP
• Yellow cancels out red –if you have a lot of broken capillaries or a lot of red in your face then you may want to choose a foundation close to your skin tone but with a bit of yellow in it
• Orange cancels out blue – so if you have a lot of blue under your eyes you may want to buy a
• Concealer that is orangey –pink
• Complimentary colors are those opposite to one another on the color wheel and when mixed tend to neutralize one another, worn side by side however they tend to be more dramatic
A monochromatic scheme is one that is comprised of various shades of the same or similar

• Golden/yellow/orange/peach/red undertones
• Look great in gold/warm browns/roses
• Majority of people wear warm colors naturally
• Often wear foundations with touch of yellow
• Naturally black/brown/light golden/dark blonde
• Possibly red or copper highlights
• Brown eyes
• Tan easily to an olive or golden tone

• Auburn/red hair

• Light beige skin tone

• Reddish to golden brown
• Blue eyes

Jennifer looks great in warm colors – gold, roses and warm browns. The majority of people suit warm colors and wear them more naturally. Often their foundations have a touch of yellow in them
